Bangladesh, the current situation of this country is truly unbelievable.

Updated: Jun 5

The situation in this country is truly unbelievable.

Every day is a kind of torment, whether it's food or the environment, it's unbearable.

When we go to unfamiliar places, it's us who have to adapt to the environment, not the other way around.

I'm not exaggerating; if you were in the same situation, you might not be able to endure it either.

Their way of life really opened my eyes.

Firstly, the environment there is extremely dirty and chaotic.

Garbage is everywhere on the streets, it's a complete mess, reminding me of India to some extent.

Especially among men, they relieve themselves wherever they want, even openly, with the air filled with various odors. And the locals seem accustomed to such an environment.

Secondly, there's a huge gap between the rich and the poor.

The living conditions of the poor are very basic; when it rains, they have to "shower" at home, while the rich live in luxury, dressing up every day and driving luxury cars, a disparity that is heartbreaking.

The staple food for the poor is rice and chili, which can be a torture for those not used to spicy food.

Thirdly, women have a low status.

Girls as young as 13 or 14 are arranged for marriage or directly married off, known as "child marriage."

Daughters are seen as a burden to their parents, who marry them off early to ease their burden.

Furthermore, the cost of living is high. Due to the need for many vegetables and meats to be imported, local production lags behind, resulting in soaring prices.

Traffic signals are almost meaningless, no one follows traffic rules, and collisions are frequent.

There are a lot of beggars, especially children, who beg for food from tourists.

Additionally, they have habits like carrying things on their heads, eating with their hands, with the left hand designated for hygiene and the right hand for eating, and meat must be eaten separately from bones.

Finally, labor is cheap.

With a large population, the labor market is saturated, and laborers are commonly seen pulling rickshaws, but their income is meager.

Having gained a profound understanding of this country, I sincerely hope they can escape poverty soon, allowing children and people to lead happy and fulfilling lives.

I hope to see changes in Bangladesh in the future, with cleaner environments, reduced wealth gaps, improved status for women, controlled prices, resolved traffic safety issues, alleviated beggar problems, improved dietary habits, and fair treatment of labor.

These changes may take time, but I believe with sustained efforts and the right policies, Bangladesh can definitely have a brighter future.
