For Real Madrid, the La Liga title is assured.

In view of the Champions League clash next Wednesday, Real Madrid made a massive rotation, returning from injury Thibaut Courtois welcomed the first appearance of the season, 19-year-old Guller also made his first start at the Bernabeu Stadium, Luka Modric in midfield.

In the 10th minute, Militang attempted a 33-meter long-range shot, which was very powerful, but goalkeeper Ledesma made an excellent save.

In the first half, despite enjoying 72% of possession, Real Madrid had only two shots on target, with the only threat coming from Militan's long-range effort.

Cadiz failed to shoot on target in the first half and a crucial tackle from Nacho blocked Sobrino's effort.

Courtois, who returned to action after a 268 day absence, was not too tested.

At the beginning of the second half, in the 47th minute, Guler created a free kick, and the 19-year-old Turkish striker took the penalty himself, but it was a little wide.

In the 51st minute, Real Madrid broke the deadlock:

Modric passes, big box line, Diaz crosswise, right foot shot, the ball flies into the top right corner, Real Madrid 1-0 lead!

It was Diaz's sixth goal of the season in La Liga and 10th in all competitions! As a substitute and surprise player in Real Madrid's attacking line, Diaz is also very reliable in scoring goals.

Diaz, 24, jumped into the air and celebrated wildly, kissing the team emblem and expressing his excitement.

Diaz's world wave is also a relief for Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti. Ancelotti roared, his face red.

Although Real Madrid's title has been assured, the game is still up and down - two minutes before Diaz's goal, Militan made a mistake and was almost broken by Cadiz's solo goal...

According to the statistics, Diaz's goal was of great historical significance - it was the 4,000th goal scored by Real Madrid at home in La Liga history!
