Staying up late, socializing, and working intensively can all take a toll on the brain. Here are two quick yet highly effective ways to repair it!

Updated: Jun 5

After staying up late, socializing, or engaging in long periods of high-intensity work, you might feel like your brain isn't functioning well, experiencing a foggy or disconnected feeling.

So, how can you improve this state?

First, let's look at some less appropriate methods.

Drinking coffee might exacerbate the feeling of "disconnection" in the brain, while taking supplements only adds a little extra without truly addressing the issue.

Next, let's explore some methods that research has proven effective and don't require too much expenditure:

Aerobic exercise:

If your brain feels foggy, don't rush into work; instead, allocate some time for moderate-intensity aerobic exercise.

Studies indicate that moderate physical activity can increase blood flow to the brain, thereby enhancing brain function and cognitive abilities.

Exercise also promotes the release of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), a protein that helps strengthen connections between neurons, aiding in brain "reconnection."

Nutrients essential for the brain:

Omega-3 fatty acids: Particularly DHA and EPA. Research shows that Omega-3 fatty acids can improve cognitive function, reduce declines in brain function, and combat inflammation caused by staying up late or excessive mental exertion.

So, when you feel your brain fogging, consider consuming 1000-3000 milligrams of Omega-3 fatty acids.

Phosphatidylserine: This is an important brain phospholipid that maintains the integrity and fluidity of cell membranes, especially effective during heavy mental workloads.

Studies suggest that phosphatidylserine can regulate various brain functions, including memory.

Therefore, when you need to engage in heavy mental work, consider consuming phosphatidylserine in moderate amounts.

Eggs: They contain fats and choline that are very friendly to the brain.

The natural choline in eggs is a source of acetylcholine, an important neurotransmitter responsible for "signal transmission."

So, when you feel sluggish in thought or your brain feels sluggish, try eating a whole egg.

These methods have been scientifically proven effective and won't break the bank. Remember, maintaining physical health and adopting reasonable lifestyle habits are crucial for brain health.
