According to a report by the Daily Mail on May 6th, recently, Prajewal Rivana, grandson of former Indian Prime Minister Daf Gauda, was accused of assaulting up to 400 women and extorting victims with over 2000 related videos, causing a huge uproar in the local area.
Prajewal is a political party running an alliance with the Indian People's Party led by the current Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the southern Indian state of Karnataka.
His grandfather served as the Prime Minister of India in 1996.
In last week's election in Karnataka, over 2000 USB drives containing Prajewal's alleged violation of women were exposed.
According to reports, these USB drives were placed on local buses, trains, and park benches and quickly spread on social media.
33 year old Prajewal personally filmed these videos and used them to extort victims.
These videos clearly display the faces of dozens of women, causing immense trauma to them and their families.
A former legislator from Bangalore revealed to local media in an interview that she had been repeatedly violated by Prajewal while working in Hassan City, and described her unpleasant experiences in detail.
According to her, Prajewal had forced her to take off her clothes, but she refused and said she would call for help loudly. Prajewal threatened her that she was carrying a gun.
The family of another victim, Mridura, demanded severe punishment for Prajewal and his father, Rivana, and expressed anger, saying, "They should all be punished and cannot go unpunished anymore."
"What we have experienced should not happen to others again."
"If they don't get punished, they will continue to commit crimes."
Muridula and her husband worked on a farm owned by Prajewal's father, Riwana, for six years before resigning and returning home.
However, even after leaving, Mridula never revealed to anyone what happened on the farm until these videos were recently exposed.
According to reports, Rivana's former assistant and driver leaked these videos and fled India with their passport.
Although Prajewal did not directly deny these accusations, he appealed to the police, claiming that these videos were "tampered with" with the aim of "tarnishing his image and poisoning the thoughts of voters.".
However, interestingly, after a person who had worked as a maid in his home reported to the police, Prajewal hurriedly fled.
The unnamed maid also claimed to have been violated by Prajewal's father, Rivana, who was later arrested by the police.
Prajewal has currently fled to Germany seeking asylum, and the police are investigating this matter. He has also been suspended from duty.
At the same time, Modi's Indian People's Party kept a distance from him, saying, "We have nothing to do with these videos and will not make any comments."
