Under constant pressure from inside and outside Ukraine, Zelensky insisted on not stepping down.

Updated: Jun 5

Zelensky's decision not to step down on May 20 has sparked controversy and pressure inside and outside the country.

As president, he recognized his influence in domestic politics and on the international stage and did not give up power easily.

He is concerned that stepping down may trigger political instability and a power vacuum, which will have an impact on Ukraine's stability and development.

He is also concerned about his personal safety, especially in the face of Russian threats and interference.

His insistence on staying on shows his confidence in his ability and responsibility to cope with the challenges and pressures at home and abroad.

Moscow has for the first time expressed reservations about the legitimacy of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, a sign of Moscow's influence and concern over the political situation in Ukraine.

Russia may be dissatisfied with the domestic and foreign policies of the Zelensky government and choose to adopt reservations in order to exert pressure and influence the course of Ukraine's political situation.

Russia may view the Zelensky government's hostility toward Russia and tilt toward the West as inimical to Russian interests, and therefore have reservations about its legitimacy.

Zelensky is under intense pressure from within and without.

At home, some parliamentarians and political forces may be critical of his policies and decisions, believing that his approach is not conducive to Ukraine's national interests and development.

He needs to deal with criticism and accusations from his political opponents and the opposition, as well as the challenges of domestic politics.

Internationally, he faces pressure and interference from countries such as Russia, and needs to be vigilant and respond to various challenges in foreign policy.

Zelensky's refusal to step down has sparked controversy at home and abroad.

In Ukraine, some people support Zelensky to stay in office, seeing him as a hope for reform and development, capable of coping with various challenges and pressures.

Others believe he should step down, arguing that his policies and decisions are detrimental to Ukraine's national interests and development and that a new leader is needed to replace him.

Internationally, some countries may support Zelensky's retention as Ukraine's legitimate leader with the right to determine his own political destiny.

Others may support his departure, seeing his government as a threat to international and regional stability and security that requires action to prevent his continued rule.

Zelenskiy faces enormous pressure and controversy at home and abroad and needs to handle the current political situation carefully.

He needs to balance various interests and pressures at home and abroad to formulate policies and decisions that meet Ukraine's national interests and development needs.

Domestically, he needs to engage in consultation and dialogue with different political forces and interest groups to win wider support and recognition.

Internationally, he needs to safeguard Ukraine's sovereignty and independence, maintain friendly relations with all countries, and at the same time be vigilant and guard against interference and pressure from outside.
